EquiShure KER
EquiShure KER
Powder supplement scientifically tested against intestinal acidosis. Balances the pH in the large intestine.
A scientifically developed product from KER that balances the pH in the horse's large intestine.
In a study conducted in NSW, it was shown that 25% of horses suffer from acidosis in the large intestine. Acidosis occurs when the pH of the digestive system, especially the large intestine, changes due to unstable intestinal flora, a diet high in grain or other factors such as stress. This acidity produces irritation of the mucosa, affecting the absorption capacity, decreasing the efficiency of the diet and causing pathologies such as colic and chronic diarrhea.
Possible signs of acidosis:
- Lack of appetite and dull coat.
- Signs of unexplained colic, chronic diarrhea.
- Weight loss
- Decreased performance
- Development of vices in the stable
Equishure works quickly in response to the symptoms described above and solves the problem within a few days. Thanks to the encapsulation technology developed by Kentucky Equine Research (KER) we manage to get bicarbonate to the large intestine, stabilizing the pH, without affecting the blood or general pH of the horse. Therefore, this is the only product on the market capable of modifying the pH of the large intestine.
In which cases is it advisable to use EquiShure?
- Horses on high grain diets
- Horses with lack of appetite or weight loss.
- Horses with sudden or unexplained changes in behavior or temperament
- Horses with digestive problems such as diarrhea
- Horses with recurrent colic
- Horses with laminitis
- Sport horses with high stress levels
